“Wound Care Essentials: Knowledge Today to Improve Practice Tomorrow” is a course that covers the entire lifespan of a wound, whether acute or chronic, and will provide learners with information on skin anatomy, why and where wounds are likely to occur, wound types and their etiology, and wound healing. Information will be provided on advanced wound dressings and management, modalities, nutrition, and patient education. Each attendee will leave with a better understanding of the wounds they may encounter and current evidence-based practice to manage them; the course is designed to provide information to the learner and assess their new knowledge through case studies provided.
